Jean-Gabriel Domergue, painter of elegance and high society, was one of the masters of the “Roaring Twenties.” He is considered the inventor of the “pin-up.”
His artistic career was long and successful.
In 1955, Domergue was appointed curator of the Musée Jacquemart-André in Paris, then made a Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur and Member of Académie des Beaux-Arts.
